For those who don’t know, NLP is a Neuro-linguistic Programming. It is a psychological system or a field of psychology. It is not a official field of psychology that you would find in a university, although it is being studied more at universities in official channels and official methods.
NLP is debated to be either a science or a pseudoscience. Now this is like saying, does dieting work? Does NLP work? Does dieting work? Well, when it comes to something like NLP, which is the study and the process of working with the unconscious mind belief systems, pictures in the mind, how people feel the emotional world, all these things.
If you understand how the human brain, emotional system, belief systems work, put it together and if you do it well with skill, it’s going to work most of the time.
What’s really cool is even if there is a process or a tool from NLP that does not work with one particular person or a few people, there is always a solution within the system to find something that does work for that person. One of the founding principles of neuro-linguistic programming is to be flexible, to not be rigid and try to make something like a square peg into a round hole, not trying to force something to fit when it doesn’t.
What’s really great about this NLP – Neuro-linguistic Programming is it does really work. It is very powerful, but it doesn’t work every single time with every single person. Exactly the same way, like a math problem.
